Hello!
This is Elder Giles! The baptism went great! Well, we had a few interesting problems, but other than that, everything was just fine. Edward really felt the spirit and he is happy to be a part of the Church! It was funny, after the baptism, Edward went into the changing room and started changing. My companion and I went into the main room and watched a special movie with everyone. While we were sitting there, our branch president comes out of the bathrooms and signs to us "Edward doesn't have a towel. Follow me." We all ran out of the room. We ran around the church looking for a towel to give to him. We finally found some in the Relief Society closet. But it was a whole bunch of hand towels. We scooped them up and ran to the changing rooms. We gave them to Edward to dry off. We told him 4 or 5 times he needed to bring a towel, but he forgot anyway. That's only 1 of the problem that happened.
Other than that, it was a wonderful experience. I will have to send pictures next week, I don't have my camera cord with me to email them to you.
Love, Elder Giles

Hello!
Yep, Edward is still doing well! He will be baptized this Friday. Yes, it is the same Edward. I was talking about. That was just the story of how we met him the first time. He is going strong. We hope a lot of members will come to his baptism. People might be working.
We also are teaching a woman named Barbra. She is the Bishop's friend. She is hearing. Anyway, we're getting really close with giving her a baptismal date. We're trying to help her, but she isn't sharing why she doesn't want to be baptized. We think it is because her friends would make fun of her.
We're praying for her. She really likes us. She thinks we're sweet.
Anyway, I hope everything is going well at home. Send me some pictures.

Hello family!
I'm doing pretty well. Edward Jauregui is doing very well! He's going to be baptized on March 22. He is learning everything and going to church and he's excited! I'm excited too. We've had a really hard time finding deaf people to teach. I don’t remember if I told you the story of how we met him, but it was a great experience.
We looked on a list of deaf people that we had. We decided to visit Edward. We have never seen him before, but wanted to talk with him for a bit. When we showed up, he answered the door. We talked with him. We asked him if we could have a lesson with him about Jesus Christ. We had a very important message to share. He said "Ok, you can come back next week." So we came back next week. He was there. We taught him about Joseph Smith and the church being set up again on the earth. He said "WOW! My future looks bright!" Ever since then, he's been learning and going to church.
Wow, Zach got his patriarchal blessing. I remember when I got mine long ago. I don't remember how old I was. Maybe 16? I'm not sure. Anyway, that's cool. Is he still planning on Active Duty Marines? I really think he should do reserve, but the choice is his.
Ok, I will talk to you next week.

Wow, everything is changing over there. Hyrum is getting his eagle and Zach is getting big. Aw man, when I get back, it will be like a different world. Oh well.
Everything is going fine here. Edward is getting closer and closer to his baptismal day. His day is March 22. So far, it looks like that will work it great! He just needs to learn a few commandments and stop drinking coffee and tea. He has so much faith. When we taught him the word of wisdom, he said "Wow, that will be hard to do. I think I need to pray." He said that all by himself. We were so amazed. He is very prepared to accept the gospel.
Anyway, I'll talk to you next week.
Love Elder Giles.
