Hello!

This past week has been crazy! Elder Haley is gone now. It's just me and Elder LeBeau now.  We've dropped some deaf people because they don't want to learn or grow in the gospel. It's sad.  But, I said before, we have a lot of referrals now! We will contact them. We haven't been able to meet with the Wildmons yet. They live in San Jose.

In a few weeks, we'll be getting a new ASL missionary. That probably means that I'll be leaving Fremont. I will be very sad. This place is like my home now. I know all of the members and they all know me. I don't know the new missionary's name, but he's Filipino. And Very hard of hearing.

My companion and I have been praying more and more now. We've been working hard to find new people to teach. Especially deaf people. Now we are seeing more and more opportunities with deaf families. We're hoping and working for a miracle.

I hope that Luke is feeling good and that he doesn't get sick anymore. Time is going pretty fast and I don't like it. I guess that is what happens when you work hard.

Wow!  Sounds like everyone is having a ton of fun!  We are doing some great work here in Fremont. We found out 2 days ago that Elder Haley is getting transferred. Now It will be just Elder LeBeau and I. We can really concentrate on the deaf work here in the area. 

 

Thank you so much for the referral to visit the Wildmon family. We will visit as soon as possible. Recently, we've been getting so many referrals to visit for deaf people. This has never happened before. They are coming in too fast! It's great! Miracles will start happening soon.

 

Keep praying for us.  We're going to do some great things here.

Hello family.

I am doing just great! We are working hard. We've been able to find deaf people who were not going to church. Now they are coming to church. It's great!  But now I'm tired. All the time. I always fall asleep in Priesthood class at church. My time here is running out. I'm not sure how much longer I'll be here.  I know that there is a new ASL missionary coming in soon.  I don't know his name, but he is hard of hearing.  Elder LeBeau will probably train him and I'll get transferred.  I don't know, we could just be in a tri-panionship. But I've been in this same area for 17 months.  Oh well, I'll just go where ever the Lord wants me to go.

We've been trying to figure out how to help the ward become more involved with missionary work. Everyone is nice, but we haven't been able to meet with their friends or family who are not members.  People want to do missionary work, but they don't really know how.  We've been doing our best to help them to know what to do.

I am doing great!  Healthy and happy.  Tired, but that's ok.
I will send my memory card soon. It's not full, but there are a few pictures I wanted to print before I send it to you.

Hello Family!

I'm doing just fine!  Elder LeBeau is doing great!  He's going to be a great missionary. He is a CODA.  His mom and dad are deaf. He is from Arizona. Some of the members here know him already. But not as many that knew me. We've been working really hard to find new deaf people, but we're not having too much success yet. We'll keep working!

In 9 weeks or so, we will be getting another ASL missionary. That means I might leave this area.  I don't know what to think. I really like it here. We might get put into a 3 person companionship, but who knows?  We're getting really close with some of our investigators. They are really close to baptism. Carla has said that she wants to come to church from now on. She is also bringing a friend with her. We have been trying to meet with her, but things keep happening.

A couple days ago, we went to the California School for the Deaf to start volunteering there.  I used to volunteer there a while ago, but I was transferred away for a bit. Now we will try to start again. What we did before was that we served in the lunch line. We were the servers. We got to see all of the deaf students because they would have to get their food from us.

I love you all! Time is going by really fast. Sometimes I feel like there isn't enough time.
